HOW TO SET UP A BLOG

How to set up a blog

1. Open up your browser to Google. ( I use Chrome- it’s a Google browser)
Sign in—if you do not have an account- create one.

2. Once you are signed in go to the left side top of page and click ‘more’ another drop down menu will show -- go all the way down to ‘even more’- click that.

3. A whole page of ‘goodies’ will show up—these are yours to use for anything and everything—scroll down the page till you see the orange box with a white B in it. This is Blogger.

Click the “Blogger” button.

After you click the Blogger button it will take you to “Dashboard”— slide over to the right and click “Create blog”

After you click the “create Blog” this is what will come up.

You will name your blog--- (this can always be changed later)
Blog address or url—(this can not be changed)

So lets fill it in—since there is yet another judge court whore assigned to my case. I will set up a blog for her.

The “url” is important as Google tracks urls So I want her to be found as she is

You can not have any space’s in the url—lets see if that url is available

And it is not available – dropped “judge’—used her name. Now I will name it (this can always be changed and or added to later.

Ok, It appears that ‘she set up one with the url ‘Judge” in it so I just dropped the “judge” and used her name. as url--- it took. http:// RebeccaWCrotty. Blogspot.com.

But my title still has Judge and the url is her name—the most important.

Hit continue and the next page will show templates. Choose one—(from here on out everything is changeable—the design the colors the fonts the widgets etc.. so lets set yp cotty’s new blog)

Click the ‘Start Blogging’ arrow the next screen that comes up will be your posting screen ( you can always design later) or design from here- or post—I have a picture of the judge so I want to add it

So I will click design

I want to add a gadget so I will click the add gadget button—there are lots to choose from

Find the ‘add picture gadget” once you find it you can add image via url or upload from pc I want to upload from pc as this will put it in my account so that if the image disappears from the news paper I got it from—It will be in my google account

Now it says that it is in there. So now lets do a ‘post’

I want google related to her to crawl this site. So I will post her news paper article.

I open the browser and “Copy” the entire article” then paste it into my post box
I did give it a different title

Now click “Publish Post”  Ta da--- your done. “View you post”

Everything else is just minor editing—there are lots of fun designers templates fraphics – fonts you can always advance with later. This is your basic blog.
