A son found his Warren parents dead this morning in their bed after the father apparently shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself, police said.
The Hazel Park son received an ominous voicemail from his 61-year-old father at 9 a.m.
“The father left a message apologizing for what was about to happen,” Warren Police Lt. Michael Torey said.
The discovery at the home on Cyman Street near Mound and 9 Mile was gruesome. Police found the couple dead from gunshots and noticed that both had deep cuts on their wrists from what appeared to be a failed suicide attempt.
“There was no struggle on either end, but we don’t know if both participated,” said Torey, adding that the case is still under investigation.
